Dr Geert Lampen


Geert qualified in Pretoria 2001 in South Africa. He has a vast experience as life artist from salesman to safari guide in African, long-term term student to Veterinarian. Geert has a strong interest in Surgical cases, especially in his Orthopedics. In between the rush of running the Hospital, in Geerts down time he loves all things outdoors, Camping and fishing are at the top of his list.

Dr Ingrid Martin


Ingrid graduated from Sydney University with First Class Honours in 1996. After working in Central NSW, England and Wales, she settled in Forster Tuncurry in 2004. Ingrid prides herself in being a compassionate and thorough GP, working with owners to provide the best possible outcomes for their pets. Ingrid and her partner Andrew have two children, Alex and Abby and a myriad of animals to keep her busy in her time off.

Amber Nix

Practice Manager/Vet Nurse

Amber has been here since the opening of Midcoast, moving over from our sister hospital Manning Veterinary hospital in Taree. She completed her Certificate 4 in Vet Nursing in 2003. Amber and her husband Greg have 2 daughters Harper and Asha, as well as 2 cats Cosby and Delilah, 2 guinea pigs Eric and Steven, Gus the budgie and Alice the great dane.

Chloe Reading

Vet Nurse

Chloe has been with us since 2013, starting out as a work placement student with the clinic. As the business grew and as Chloe's knowledge and skills developed we knew she was going to be the perfect fit. Chloe completed her Certificate 4 in Veterinary Nursing in 2015 and gone on to complete further study through The Australian Vet Nursing College.
Chloe also keeps busy in the clinic managing the social media side of things. 

Dr Elena Dreyer


Elena qualified in Pretoria 2001 in South Africia.

Elena is a part time Veterinarian and holds the reins of the hospital's administration. Elena has devoted most of her spare time to raising her 2 children Nicolas and Lukas and has a passion for her veggie garden. Geert and Elena have 2 rescue dogs, Scarlett a Cataholah and her son Zak a Cataholah cross Cattle dog.

Dr Joel Dunn


Joel graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001. He has spent the great majority of his veterinary career in the Forster-Tuncurry and local area. Joel has a passion for all things garden and also works in agricultural industry.  Joel is lucky enough to spend his spare time in the beautiful Forster area with his family.

Mel Nunn

Vet Nurse

Mel has also been with the Midcoast Animal hospital since the very beginning. She has over 25 years experience in the Veterinary industry and a wide wealth of knowledge to show for it. Mel and her husband have 3 beautiful daughters and an array of animals from horses to a snake named AJ.

Matilda Oldfield

Vet Nurse

Matilda started with us as a work placement student and soon after became a valued member of our team. Matilda is shared between Midcoast Animal Hospital and our sister clinic Manning Veterinary Hospital in Taree. Matilda completed her Certificate in 2016 via The Vet Nursing College. Matilda lives in the beautiful great lakes area and loves exploring with her fur baby Luna the Labradoodle.
