OUR TEAM
Dr Geert Lampen
Veternarian/Owner
Geert qualified in Pretoria 2001 in South Africa. He has a vast experience as a life artist, from salesman to safari guide in African, long-term term student to Veterinarian. Geert has a strong interest in Surgical cases, especially in his Orthopedics. In between the rush of running the Hospital, in Geert's down time he loves all things outdoors, Camping and fishing are at the top of his list.


Dr Joel Dunn
Veterinarian
Joel graduated from the University of Queensland in 2001. He has spent the great majority of his veterinary career in the Forster-Tuncurry and local area. Joel has a passion for all things garden and also works in agricultural industry. Joel is lucky enough to spend his spare time in the beautiful Forster area with his family.

Mel Nunn
Veterinary Nurse
Mel has been with the Midcoast Animal hospital since the very beginning. She has over 25 years experience in the Veterinary industry and a wide wealth of knowledge to show for it. Mel and her husband have 3 beautiful daughters and an array of animals from horses to a snake named AJ.

Dr Elena Dreyer
Veterinarian/Owner
Elena qualified in Pretoria 2001 in South Africia.
Elena is a part time Veterinarian and holds the reins of the hospital's administration. Elena has devoted most of her spare time to raising her 2 children Nicolas and Lukas and has a passion for her veggie garden. Geert and Elena have 2 rescue dogs, Scarlett a Cataholah and her son Zak a Cataholah cross Cattle dog.

Chloe Reading
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Chloe has been with us since 2013, starting out as a work placement student with the clinic. Chloe completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2015 and has gone on to complete specialised study through The Australian College of Veterinary Nursing.
Georgia Carr
Veterinary Nurse
Georgia originally started as a work placement student at our sister clinic Manning Veterinary Hospital in Taree. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2017. Georgia keeps herself busy on the farm with her partner and many farm animals including Border Collies, Kelpies and Zip the cat.

Matilda Oldfield
Veterinary Nurse
Matilda is primarily based at our sister clinic Manning Veterinary Hospital, but if you’re lucky enough, you will see her warm smiling face at the Midcoast Animal Hospital on the odd day here and there. Matilda started with us as a work placement student and completed her Certificate in 2016 via The Australian College of Veterinary Nursing.
